My take on Entropy.

Why I farm it, what is announced, how to start, and what is still unknown.

Why I farm it

  • Pre-IPO perps are why I am here: Anthropic and OpenAI as perps, something no other venue I farm lists.
  • It runs on Hyperliquid through HIP-3, so it is the same wallet, the same USDC and the same order book engine I already use, and any Hyperliquid front end works once the address is connected to Entropy.
  • Fees are almost nothing while growth mode is on, and part of what is left comes back as a cash rebate, paid every two weeks.
  • No points program yet, but a leaderboard is marked coming soon. Being early with real volume on a venue in that spot is how I like to farm.

My take, not advice.

What we know

  • Entropy (ticker io) is a HIP-3 market deployer on Hyperliquid: perpetual futures on global equities, commodities and indices, plus long-dated pre-IPO equities. Oracle feeds are run by RedStone.
  • Source: Entropy architecture.
  • Markets: ANTH (Anthropic) and OAI (OpenAI) pre-IPO perps up to 6x, US equities SNDK, NBIS, IONQ and GPRO, and the DRAM and EWY ETFs. All isolated margin, quoted in USDC.
  • A pre-IPO perp that never sees an IPO resolves on a set date: August 18, 2028 for ANTH, September 2, 2028 for OAI.

  • HIP-3 fees are 0.030% maker and 0.090% taker, twice the standard Hyperliquid rate, split evenly between Hyperliquid and Entropy. With growth mode on, fees, rebates and volume contribution are all cut by 90%.

  • Early bird referral program: a self rebate of 60% to 200% of Entropy's share of the fee depending on tier, and a benefit of 25% to 100% for referred users. The two do not stack: you get the higher one. Rewards are claimable from the profile page, from $5, paid every two weeks.

  • August 24, 2026: Entropy announced a $14M round led by Ribbit Capital. The 500,000 HYPE bond that HIP-3 requires is provided by Hyperion DeFi.

How to farm it

  1. 1Open Entropy with my referral link and connect your wallet: that creates your Entropy account with code 0xtimberj.
  2. 2Fund your Hyperliquid account with USDC.
  3. 3Trade the io markets on entropy.io, or on the Hyperliquid app with the same address. Rebates only apply to Entropy's own markets.
  4. 4Claim your rebates from your Entropy profile once they pass $5.

What we don't know

  • No token, points program or airdrop has been announced, and the leaderboard formula is not published.
  • Growth mode can be switched off per market, which would bring fees back to the full HIP-3 rate.
  • Pre-IPO prices come from an oracle on private-market data, not from a listed share. See the no-IPO resolution rules.
  • Not available in a long list of countries, including the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, Singapore and most of the EU. Check the list before you deposit.
